My name is Beth Oddy and I teach Teen Yoga. I discovered yoga about 6 years ago, my main practice during this time has been a mixture of Ashtanga and Hatha yoga. I qualified as a teen yoga teacher in February 2020 through the teen yoga foundation delivered through Charlotta Martinus. I am a teacher in a local secondary school and I have introduced yoga to our year 11 students, over the course of this year they have really felt the physical and mental benefits and appreciated having yoga within the curriculum. I would really like to extend this yoga experience for teens beyond school and into the community.
It is important for me to get to know my students so that I can create classes that can offer yoga for different moods, and energy levels. My intention for the class is to offer a safe space free from judgement , where they can cultivate a practice that can support them with their mental and physical health, that they can take beyond the class and into their everyday life.
